Club Description

The Student American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics is dedicated to helping students enter into the orthopedic profession and is associated with the national SAOAO. While the overall focus is on orthopedics as a whole, we look to ensure that we explore different subspecialties that exist in the orthopedic field including spine, pediatric ortho and replacements. The club strives to connect its members with current orthopedic surgeons, teach about what it takes to pursue a career in the field, and provide fun and interactive learning experiences to help better the members knowledge of the orthopedic field. This will be achieved through guest speaker presentations, group rounding at hospitals in the area and utilization of the resources of the national SAOAO.
